One month before prom – Now you know your look, it is time for a trial run to make sure everything works perfectly and looks stunning. Preview your look to some friends or a familymember to make sure your outfit looks fabulous. Doing a run-through of your outfit this early will give you plenty of time to change anything that needs alteration or bask in celebration for getting it perfect first time! Start thinking about your hair and makeup. If you are having it done professionally, it is time to book the appointment at the salon. Do not book your appointment too late in the afternoon on prom day. Leave yourself plenty of time to get dressed and ready for your big night. If you are planning on doing your hair and makeup at home, then start collecting some ideas for styles that are going to work well with your dress. Don’t forget to look at the girls on Flirt Prom, their hair and makeup compliments their prom dresses perfectly!
One week before prom – Try on your dress and shoes one more time to double check that everything is working great. Try walking around the house, walk up and down the stairs as well; these new shoes may take some getting used to! It is now time to buy all of the smaller items you may need. Shop for stockings or pantyhose or any other accessories that are going to complete your prom outfit. Take a trip to themall to pick up all the colors you need for your lips and nails. Buy a backup color as well, you never know, it might be a lifesaver. Call to confirm your hair and makeup appointments.
The day before prom - Check that your camera is working and the battery is charged. You will definitely want to be taking photos of you and your friends on the big night! If you are doing your hair and makeup yourself, now is a good time to do a trial run to make sure everything is going to look great and adjust anything that may need changing. This gives you plenty of time to perfect the process. Prepare your clutch or purse the night before to make sure you are loaded with everything you need. You will definitely want to take some extra lip-gloss, a makeup compact for any touchups, your cell phone and some cash. Try to keep it light though; you don’t want to be dragging around a heavy purse all night!
Prom day! - Use a facemask in the morning so your skin glows and feels fresh. It is a good idea to do a little bit of exercise as well, not too much cardio, you don’t want to exhaust yourself, but just enough so that you feel energized, limber and slim. Go to your hair and makeup appointment. Be sure to wear a button down shirt. No t-shirts! You want to be wearing something that you can take off easily and does not have to be lifted over your head; this could potentially ruin your hair and makeup! Finally, relax! Take a moment for yourself. Talk to your friends and try to enjoy yourself. When it is time, put on your dress and look in the mirror, congratulations, you are a dazzling prom queen!
